Advent Day 11: Barry

What a great year for comedy. How could there be any year-end list that omits the great HBO show, Barry, about a hitman who wants to get out of the life and become an actor? It’s such an entertaining concept, and has such a great cast. The trailer isn’t even half as funny as the show actually is. It has some darkness to it, and it has some great comedic moments. It makes you root for a bad guy. And at the same time, it leaves you conflicted about how you want things to end.

Did I mention the stellar cast?

Stellar cast.

Oh, and the sensational D’Arcy Carden from The Good Place? She’s in this show too. As though Bill Hader, Stephen Root, Henry Winkler and the rest of the cast weren’t enough of a reason to watch it.
