HERE AND GONE is set in the fictional town of Fossil, Colorado. From this fictional town, you can see the real and most famous mountain in Colorado, which is also the highest summit in the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Formerly called El Capitan, the mountain was renamed in honor of an early American explorer.
